From the 1st October 2021, The Botulinum Toxin and Cosmetic Fillers (children) Act 2021 was introduced, making it a criminal offence to administer Botulinum Toxin (hereafter referred to as Botox) or a Filler by way of injection for a cosmetic purpose, to a person under the age of 18. It is also an offence to make arrangements to book an appointment to provide these treatments to anymore under the age of 18.

Do the treatments hurt and is there any downtime?
With any invasive treatment, you can expect a degree of discomfort. We always try to minimise this by using the highest-quality products and kit. If you are concerned about possible pain, then we can administer a numbing gel to the area before treatment. In this case, we ask that you please advise our Booking Team in advance, to ensure you have time allocated before your consultation for the numbing gel to be applied and activated.
Our facial menu has been designed for zero downtime, even with our most aggressive resurfacing treatment, the Fire and Ice Facial.
In some of our invasive treatments, you may experience some residual swelling around the site. We expect this to subside within 24-48 hours and can advise you of any possible side effects when you book.
With injectable treatments, there is a small risk of infection. We will support you with your pre and post-treatment care to minimise this risk. Due to the complex vascular system of the face, even the most experienced clinician can catch a blood vessel with the needle, which causes a bruise. With more invasive procedures, such as some dermal fillers, the risk of bruising is slightly higher. Again, we will support you with your pre and post-procedure care.
How do I know what treatment is right for me?
If you are at all unsure about what treatment might be the right option for your skin concern, please book a skin consultation with our Booking Team. Every consultation is tailored to the individual and we will discuss the range of options to ensure you get the look you desire. In some cases, we may suggest an alternative or additional treatment option for you to optimise your results.
Will I ever be refused treatment?
You may be refused treatment if you have signs of an infection, have open sores or active cold sores, are on antibiotics or have recently received a Covid-19 vaccine. We may also need to check that you aren’t travelling abroad within a certain timeframe.
If we are concerned about your mental well-being or feel that a treatment will not achieve the results you are looking for, then we may refuse treatment or suggest an alternative. Whilst we will try to administer any alternative therapies during the booked time slot, it might be necessary to re-book for a different time.
You will be given a consent form before your consultation which will contain information on any relevant contra-indications or concerns that might affect or prevent us from carrying out your procedure.
